Hi, I am Advik Manchanda FIDE Candidate Master - a young chess enthusiast who proudly represents the United States on national and international stages.
What began at age six with my very first over-the-board tournament has grown into a remarkable journey of more than 150 tournaments, filled with passion, growth, and unforgettable experiences. Along the way, I’ve earned 35+ trophies, 27 medals, 7 plaques, the FIDE Candidate Master (CM) title, and most recently, I was awarded the Texas Master title by the Texas Chess Association - becoming the youngest and first-ever player in Texas to receive this honor.
My chess journey has taken me across states, countries, and some of the biggest competitive platforms in scholastic chess. Here are a few milestones I’m proud of:
🌟 Advik Manchanda at Age 10 - One of the Highest-Ranked FIDE Candidate Master in the World
🥈 Silver Medalist at the World School Chess Championship 2024 (U9 Open – Peru)
🌟 Advik Manchanda Becomes an FIDE Arena International Master at Age 10
🏆 National Champion, 2024 U.S. K–12 Grade Championship (Grade 4 – Maryland)
🏆 Texas Young Player of the Year – Inaugural Honoree by Texas Chess Association.
🏆 Champion, 2025 Texas Junior Invitational (Elementary Section) → earning qualification for the John D. Rockefeller III National Elementary Championship
🏅 Youngest Winner in the Past Decade at the 2025 Luis Salinas Memorial 80th Texas State & Amateur Championship (Amateur Section – Co-Champion)
🌟 Represented Team USA at the 2025 FIDE World Cup for Youth (U10 Open – Batumi, Georgia) → finishing 16th in the world
